Leeds United Transfer Reliability Guide

It’s certainly been a long time coming for the fans from West Yorkshire, as Leeds have finally made it back to the top tier of English football and consolidated their place amongst the big boys.

Marcelo Bielsa is the man largely responsible for the club’s ascension from the EFL Championship, as he successfully guided the team towards promotion after a 16-year absence from the Premier League.

The club’s rise in stature has made them a more attractive outfit for players looking to ply their trade in England, as they play an expansive brand of football.

One of the best examples of this is how the club managed to acquire Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia for a club record fee of 29 million pounds, when he had a number of suitors across Europe battling for his signature.

So, in today’s short article piece I wanted to talk about the reliability of journalists and media sources for Leeds United.

Without further ado, here are my findings…

Summary

The Athletic is a pretty credible news outlet when it comes to Leeds transfer reliability, with Phil Hay, David Ornstein and Chris Waugh all being particularly well informed.

A number of reporters from the Yorkshire Evening post are also quite solid, as Graham Smyth features in tier 1 and Joe Urquhart makes it to tier 2 of the guide.

Beyond that however, there’s not many sources to keep an eye on.

I’d take Sky Sports news with a pinch of salt and also not pay too much attention to the British tabloids for Leeds stories.
